Robotic Toys Take Stage at DEMO Conference

In this undated handout from Ugobe, Inc., the robotic dinosaur called Pleo is shown, which was founded by Caleb Chung. It's got eight processors that control 14 motors and receive signals from 38 sensors. It also can learn from its experiences, in effect writing its own code as it goes. (AP Photo/Ugobe, Inc.)

I don't know... I don't think I need to pay $200 for simulated neediness. There are real emotionally needy people everywhere. Machines don't get to demand my attention. We build them so they can attend to us.
Wouldn't it be better to give something like this to a child and teach it to take care of it before u get it a dog? I think so. Besides a dog or cat will cost you way more than 200 dollars.
