"Give me liberty or give me death!" -- Patrick Henry

I think the protesters were misquoted. What they said was "Death to Americans, Death to the Danish, and behead anyone who calls Islam violent!"

    "Know thine enemy."

WOW! Reading this from the front page, it does not tell me that the story is based in Afghanistan. It just says that 4 protestors were shot dead near a Southern US Military base.

The only thing I could think is that we've got another Kent State!

bmvaughn: I found that to be a little misleading, too. Fortunately, the American Muslim community is far more peaceful, in my experience.

"Islam says it's all right to demonstrate but not to resort to violence. This must stop," said senior cleric Mohammed Usman, a member of the Ulama Council—Afghanistan's top Islamic organization. "We condemn the cartoons but this does not justify violence. These rioters are defaming the name of Islam."

Do you suppose that this will be enough of an answer for conservatives who as why, if Islam is a religion of peace, that its leaders don't condemn terrorism?
