This is very sad news for the Reeve family..
Very sad. I was always very impressed with her determination and strength until the very end.
Asked how she kept her spirits up, Reeve said she "had a great model. I was married to a man who never gave up," she said.
I'm sure her husband would have had something similar to say about her. She was beautiful person who had her fair share of heartbreak and still did her part to help others. The world could use more superheros like the Reeve's.
Don't stop the fight for federal funding for embryonic stem cell research!!!!!!
The first step in advancing embryonic stem cell research is to remove that mad man in the White House.
How very sad. She really was an amazing woman, and an inspiration to all of us.
This was an obituary for a very strong an courageous woman - not a political soapbox.
With respect to Dana Reeve - The good always seem to die young. Rest in peace.

Some people just can't help but take a jab every time they open their mouth. How about you not bring politics in to this thread?
Comments about stem cell research are entirely appropriate, and at this time in history this will always lead us back to discussing our science-averse executive branch.
Dana Reeve spent the last decade of her life, besides caring for Christopher, fighting for the cause of embryonic stem cell research. It is her legacy. It is doing her memory a disservice to ignore it.
Indeed, a very sad day... What I feel is even worse is that I didn't even know she was sick! It really goes to show you how she really did stay out of the spotlight while Christopher was still here!
rest in peace.
I feel bad for the kids. Hopefully they will get through this.
My heart goes out to their 13 year-old son, Will. He's now lost both parents. What a blow for someone so young.
