Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

This is hysterical.

Players roll the dice to determine how many civil liberties they start out with, accumulating them from a variety of categories: U.S. citizens get 5; non-citizens 1. Whites and Asians get 5; Arabs 1.

That's definitely an exaggeration. They have just as many as anyone else in this country and a whole lot more than they'd have back in home country.

Arabs and muslims may not have civil liberties taken away, but they're definitely mistrusted. 45% of Americans believe that Islam teaches to kill non-muslims, and that it endorses violence.

Here's a nice little poll that discusses the favorable/unfavorable light religions hold in various countries, as well as how the "war on terror" has changed approval ratings over the past few years. I'd just like to point out the statistics on page 6 comparing how people in predominantly Christian countries view Muslims and vice versa.

Personally, I'd still rather take my chances as a Muslim in the United States, than a Christian in Turkey, Pakistan, Morocco or Jordan. How about you?

So I assume going the Gitmo is an automatic loss?
