Apple Computer Set to Mark 30th Birthday

In this Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 file photo, Apple Computer CEO Steve Jobs smiles next to the new Apple iPod Hi-Fi speaker system for its iPod player at company headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. As the storied company celebrates its 30th birthday in a week, Apple will have brushed off its bruises from product failures and arguably misguided decisions to emerge with a shine that's more than skin deep. What would life have been like without Apple? While no company is perfect I know that Apple products have made my life better than it would have been without them! Thanks and Happy Birthday!

No doubt, the iPod will be the product of the decade when 2010 comes. With the progress that Apple has made on the iPod and with the new Intel Mac computer systems, Apple will soon be over a ten percent market-share in the personal computer industry.
Happy 30th! Ahhhh... and to think I've been with you for 15 of those precious years. Oh the P-ram we've zapped... The extension conflicts we've scratched our collective System 7 heads at... And the many "flavors" of iMacs we've tasted together.
What a beautiful bond we have had over the years.
I love you!
Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday Apple :)
The smile (i just like it) on Steve Jobs face is because his iPod and iTunes lineup worked successfully otherwise i think it would have been really really difficult for apple to continue to work because Microsoft is really aggressive with their platform...
Umer
and we still don't know if there will be a 30th anniversary apple event..
Apple has had an enormous influence on product design for the last 15 years worldwide. As well as showing other computer companies that computers don't have to be beige boxes - the imac and ipod have influenced numerus household products. Can you say Microsoft has had that effect? It's more like the effect the Beatles had on the music industry.
I shudder to think what kind of computers we would be using today where it not for the artistic touch and rock and roll attitude of Jobs and Woz back in the day.
It's unlikely that Windows would have risen to the top without Apple showing them the way.
