I'm particularly surprised by the absences of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julia Roberts. Ocean's Twelve was reasonably obvious about the fact that Zeta-Jones would make the thirteenth in Ocean's Thirteen in much the same way that Ocean's Eleven had been obvious about Tess becoming the twelfth. It would seem that the series is breaking its own set of rules here.

Also, it's worth mentioning--though this article fails to--that the IMDb lists Ocean's Thirteen's writers as Brian Koppelman and David Levien, the writing team behind, among other things, Rounders (1998), Runaway Jury (2003), Brian De Palma's forthcoming prequel, The Untouchables: Capone Rising, and four episodes of the ESPN series, Tilt. Interesting.
