Proves that Seeing is not believing
And Mr. Ecko proved what again?
That he's rich!... It's not cheap you know!
Um. Ok.
"I wanted to do something culturally significant, wanted to create a real pop-culture moment," said Marc Ecko...

The Biggest Douche in the Universe
Marc Ecko has nothing on John Edward. :)
Agreed, Ecko's got nothing on Edwards, though he is getting close...
> Marc Ecko
that was completely pointless
I wrote about this hoax on my blog and one of the comments was that it wasn't a hoax. The commentor pointed to features of the video (a nearby golf course and suchlike) as evidence of his contention. It is interesting to see that it really was a hoax (although a conspiracy theorist might comment that the paint job is surprisingly good and it is very convenient that such a similar set up could be arranged).
I thought it was real-
But I watched the "Why?" video... It didn't really make sense- did it?
I think the real reason was "For fun" and then Marc Ecko decided to soapbox something about "Augghh society!!!" Graf. artists are great artist with false beliefs about society and "The Gov."
I must admit that the whole thing seems relatively pointless from this vantage point. Perhaps if the stunt had been staged as part of a larger movement, it could have been something more along the lines of a symbol. Still, as it stands, it does make a good video clip, and perhaps combined with other acts of slightly uncivil disobedience a montage of rebellious acts could capture the imagination of an all too ambiguous america.
This is interesting.
#1 Reason it's an obvious hoax:
If anyone has ever seen how guarded Air Force One is when it is on the tarmac knows that these guys would probably have been taken down before they even made it to the fence.
It is kind of scary that someone could do this. What could stop someone from painting a couple of Air Force Ones and using them as a weapon of terror. Who gives approval to shoot down Air Force One. It could easily cross into restricted air space and could take a long time to confirm or disprove whether it was the real deal.
