Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

So... Some guy in Idaho has a Czech fighter plane? We don't need another Ruby Ridge.

There's a guy in Ashland Ky with a Soviet Jet as well. These things are all over the place nowadays it seems.

I saw an ex-Russian sub open for tours in Seattle while there on business. I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of a tourist attraction to check out old fighter jets.

There's only 1 word that can describe what I'm feeling after reading this:

            Whoa.

Actually, I'm from Idaho. It's where I grew up. And if it isn't news about potatoes coming out of there it's news about militias or white supremacists. I just keep waiting for this story to take a slant like that...

Also, doesn't anyone think it's a little odd that Ebay won't sell firearms but has absolutely no problem aiding transactions of war machines to foreign nations?

I think most criminals would find it rather difficult to re-arm the fighter jet and use it to hold up a bank. The Chinese government on the other hand probably has better jets. Either way I doubt this sale harms like selling firearms might.

Man, I wish I had gotten in on that auction, I've got this spare room in my house that it would look great in.....Oh, wait, thats the most ridiculous idea for a "decoration" I have ever heard of. He should have given some poeple a pay raise.

That would have been a sensible solution Isaac! .... How could any employer turn down the chance to own a fighter jet? ;o)
