Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

That sounds kind of boring, I dont understand why this would be such a big attraction. Does anyone else feel this way?

Well, it gives you another perspective. But I agree it doesn't sound THAT interesting. Probably the reason they have it in a mall, it's just something you can look at in between shopping, instead of going for a special trip just to see the Human Zoo.

Strange. I thought David Blaine's living in the water bubble thing was odd. I suppose for a mall it would be a slight distraction though.

I lived in Korea for 8 years--Asians love this stuff. They get a real kick out of things we think are completely inane. Don't know how it went over in the Western cities, though.

I dunno Americans are all into reality TV, this seems to me to be very similar except 'live'. That said I do think it would be boring, and I think reality TV isn't great either :)
