Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Wish I had bought their stock a couple of years ago. DANGIT! By the way, that store is awesome, in concept and execution.

The stock is relatively cheap right now; it's at $63 but it hasn't seen $5x in a while now, and as the transition to Intel nears its end, paired with OS X Leopard and Vista coming up later this year and Apple's position in both consumer PC and music player market becoming stronger each month, now is a pretty good time to buy stock.

Me, I think the stock will only go up for the rest of the year. It'll have its downs, like always, but on the whole it should really be going up.

I hope there's not an absolutely insane line outside of this thing (a feeble hope, I'll concede, though a gigantic mob on Fifth Avenue would be interesting). I'm planning on walking down there at around 5:45 pm today. I work on 55th and Madison, so it's a quick walk.
