(will.. not..overreact..)
So the population has halved and the cops are down roughly 25%, they have a bad weekend and a line gets drawn in the sand while the police chief states that the increase is unrelated to the justification given.
Confused yet?
But you won't see them, Why? because the haves get policemen while the have nots get soldiers.

Looks like the harvest of 30 years of indulgent, I'm ok you're ok, liberal democrat authored policies.
That leadership has delivered its promises. I pray there is enough objective analysis in the population to vote for a more conservative leadership for the city and state.
The haves are where the tourists are. Pat O'Brien Hurricanes don't go well with M-16's. Stop the tourists and watch the rebuilding come to a crawl.

Leaving your partisan almost gleeful mockery aside just a moment, can i ask you a couple of things?
Do you equate 'I'm ok you're ok' with side arms and 'conservative leadership' with automatic weapons?
It would seem that the distruction of New Orleans and its present dire need for reconstruction presents an opportunity for 'more conservative leadership' to advance and reclaim powers denied it by '30 years of indulgent liberal democrat authored polices.'
Given your propensity for prayer would you or would you not agree that in many ways the storm and the subsequent dereliction of civil defence was a blessing in disguise?
If so I can only heartily concur that God does indeed move in mysterious ways.
