We love you Dan. It's too bad they worked so hard to discredit you because you spoke out about how poorly the Iraq war Part Deux was handled.

I suppose this is filed under Entertainment because it's funny?

I thought Rather was funny... in a very perverted way. Much like he perverted the news on a nightly basis.

I will say that I am going to miss Rather during the elections. At one point Rather said "This race is hotter than a time square Rolex" it was so stupid but I laughed so hard because he was so serious when he said it.

I'm torn. On the one hand, CBS news has a long history of handling news and newsmen poorly (listen to Cronkite talk about them sometime), but on the other hand I always found Rather to be a self-aggrandizing fool, who's primary claim to fame seemed to be a penchant for absolutely shameless camera-hogging.

        Pride goeth before the fall?

I guess I don't really care what happens to Rather, I just wish the business of journalism was more about journalism and less about business.
