Whine and cheese will be served for the duration of the concert.
"These shows will be performed in a series of smaller theaters, allowing intimate concerts with fans," the record label said in a statement.
"Because there is no way we can sell tickets for any larger of a venue," the label went on to say.
Poor guy. For some bizarre reason, I was caught watching a VH1 Behind the Music: Nick Lachey earlier this evening with my daughter. They showed him standing and singing on some pathetic little stage, the kind you'd see at your local carnival featuring none other than, say, .38 special or the Charlie Daniels Band or the kids who practice in the garage down the street.
Intimate concerts. You mean, one guy singing to 100 screaming 12 year old girls, while their parents stand around in the beer tent, talking too loud about how glad they are that they can walk home? And trying to figure out just exactly how much money they gave their kids for tickets for the carnival rides?
I saw that! Where they were talking about how how his old group got their start by renting a winnebago with their picture plastered all over it and just driving to sing anywhere that would have them. Crazy!
But wait! He's an international superstar! What do you mean he has to drive around in a bad bus and sing on makeshift stages? What do you mean he can't sell out huge venues? I find that preposterous!
;)
He should just wait for the New Kids reunion if he wants to play the bigger venues.
Anyone else hope there is not much left of him?
I actually, to some degree although not 98 of them (shoot me. I can't believe I just wrote that), I feel sorry for the guy.
