Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

We need more far more Keith Olbermanns and far less Bill O'Reillys on TV - O'Reilly is a waste of space and shameless purveyor of arrogant ignorance.

Yes, but unfortunately this is television you're talking about here. Therefore, ratings drive worth, and not the other way around.

Yeah, there's a certain factor of worth which drives ratings, but that depends on what the viewers want to watch. If they were smarter, they might pick and choose more wisely, but most of them will gladly suck down the tepid populist tripe-smoothie that "everyone else is watching."

"He never got within 20 feet of me," Olbermann told the Television Critics Association's summer meeting Saturday. "I swear to God, every time I looked up, he would suddenly look down. He was staring over at me. But we're about the same height, so I really don't think he's going to come talk to me. If I were about a foot shorter, I'm sure there would be a confrontation of some sort."

Gosh... you don't suppose Bill O'Reilly is ...a bully, do you?

That's the second thing that popped into my head. The first thing I thought of (Bill O'Reilly being somehow ashamed of his actions) seems implausible.
