Considering that he is giong for hip replacement surgery after this race - this is an amazing feat!
Awesome 30 years ago no American winners then LeMond thenh Lance now Floyd wow.
Even I'm psyched for Landis, and I don't normally follow the Tour de France. What an excellent result for all of his hard work and perseverance, and so soon after Armstrong, too.
Congrats to him! He and Armstrong are both class-acts.
I'm waiting for the first sore loser to claim steriods were used.
Fantastic accomplishment in a Tour that got off to quite the ignominious start, what with the doping scandal. Landis' hip injury is similar to the one that forced Bo Jackson to retire from football and baseball, and for Landis to have perservered through the pain to win one of the most grueling events in sports is incredible.
Yes, he raced an amazing race, and really deserved his win.
After stage 16, nobody gave him a chance, except his coaches and himself. The greatest moment of this tour was the other riders looking on in amazement as he passed them on the second climb of stage 17. Thanks Floyd.
I'm waiting for someone from France to state that Landis had an unfair advantage because he has a degenerative hip!
Saw it live, what a feat!!! Congrats to Landis.
Am I the only one who read the title and thought it was about a streaker?
Anyway, congrats Landis!
