I think that the Doles are good examples of the dangers of extreme plastic surgery on the elderly. Are they smiling or is that just how their faces always look?

I think that Robert Dole is one of the great Republicans, maybe the last one. Today's Republicans pay lip service to honor and duty to country while playing fighter pilot during Vietnam, but Bob Dole (like George H. W. Bush) walked the walk. Everyone knows about his right hand injury from WWII, but did you know he lost a kidney as well? Despite his reputation as a hardball partisan, he has always valued the needs of the American people above the wishes of his party, even as he was charged with leading that party in Congress. I find myself agreeing with Bill Frist: Democracy is more nearly perfect because of Bob Dole.

I don't understand why he has to hold that pen. Does he think it makes him look better? It makes me uncomfortable every time I see him. I focus on that cheap Bic and I just feel really sorry for him.
