Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

This is our Army... yeah i support them... Bastards would turn there guns on us if Bush said so...
raping our children, i thought this was only done in countries they invade... total bastards.

I say let them face civilian punishment and be tagged as Sexual predators, as well, as being dishonorably discharged. While we are at it, they should forfeit 1 years pay to the victim.

This is the sort of thing our soldiers are supposed to protect us from. How can this happen? Where is the honor in this? Young men have it in them to be valient or violent. Most young men go into the service because they wish to be of use. They want to be valient. They're willing to risk their lives to defend their country and the people they love, however misguided this motivation may be at times, in the face of a jaded foreign policy, which exploits it. Yet oftimes in the heat of war, in a world seemingly gone mad, they end up raping and pillaging. This is nothing new--read the Bible and see how the Hittites and the Hebrews respectively "laid waste" to one another. What is new is soldiers' access to unprotected young women in their own backyard.

What sort of mis-directed policy puts these men on our high school campuses? Recruiters should not be allowed to interact one-on-one with these naive, trusting young women. They are not trained for this. They have no business there. Let's create situations that call forth male valience, instead of male violence.
