We are all different. Why try to deny the fact that this is true?
If there are racially-motivated riots because of Survivor, then the terrorists have won. Snakes on a plane.
ahh, I love that. Mothe@!$%#'n Snakes on a Plane. What're you going to do?
I heard no huge complaints when it was men and women. Why is this any different?
Please, please tell me you're joking.
You have teams divided by race competing against each other to prove what?? What's the purpose of dividing them by race, to see who's a better swimmer?
There's no way you can honestly be defending this.
It'd no different than dividing teams by sex. Discrimination is discrimination. Women have been treated as badly if not worse than most racial groups in the past and there was no huge protest when Survivor had "boys against girls." I'm not saying it's a good thing or that we should encourage it but really it's no different than what has been done on the show in the past.
This is a classic example of pandering to incite controversy for ratings. Television continues to reach new lows in terms of content.
How is this a low? If it's interesting people will watch it.
I doubt the people on the show have a problem that they are competing against other teams of other races. They're worried about the flipp'n money not whether a white person hates all Asians.
If you don't like it, DONT WATCH IT.
KevinR...How is this a low? If it's interesting people will watch it.

KevinR you are exactly right about the show. I agree that the people competing and most of the viewers probably don't give a hoot about the ethnicity and watch for the events and the prizes. My point was that the executives who created the show probably did it with the hope of creating the type of PC noise they got. That's low. .
Liu, who is Asian-American, said he was launching a campaign urging CBS to pull the show because it could encourage racial division and promote negative typecasts.
John Liu: why don't you go and break up Chinatown in NYC. At least it is in your jurisdiction. That way, the Asians there won't have any unfair advantages or disadvantages of working together to appeal to consumers who might otherwise spend their dollars in Little Italy.
He and a coalition of officials, including the council's black, Latino and Asian caucus, planned to rally at City Hall on Friday.
It's a show. It's a game. Get over it. I'm sure there are more important things a city councilman could be doing right now.... or are there?
What a loser. I think he's just afraid that our race is gonig to lose. These don't even last long enough so that person should just shut up, because he doesn't even watch that show so what would he know? I mean, last season the tribes only lasted one episode. This twist will barely last three. 20 people? Last time they did that 3 people were voted out in one episode. That City Councilman should watch the show before doing anything because that is just what these people do. CITY COUNCILMAN, WATCH THE SHOW BEFORE YOU GO AND PULL A SHOW BECAUSE YOU HAVE ASSUMED THAT THIS WILL GO ON FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON. SO JUST SHUT UP.
