I suppose with talk of MS and Yahoo teaming up, Google and Apple seems like quite an obvious alliance...

You know what cracks me up, what if one day these big corporations bought their own islands, named their own small countries after their companies, and went to war militarily?
I can already see Google + Apple vs Microsoft as some gigantic galactic war. Scary stuff.

Google might have to start re-working their page designs to match the OS X interface, because at the moment they almost clash.
Now all the Apple Board needs is someone with a high ethical and environmental profile.
The former vice president speaks well but does not demand Apple to act truely engaged in environmental matters.
yawn...
Yahoo and MS? No
Google and Apple? No
Apple/Google vs MS/Yahoo? No
He may be on the board, but it doesn't mean he runs the company. Anyone who says there's going to be a "showdown" is spreading market FUD.
AFAIK, MS still owns Apple stock. And I am sure all four companies have their investments in mutual funds that have stock in all four companies..

No, but it certainly "will" mean tighter collaboration between the two companies.

1) .Mac will be Google-powered
2) Google and Mac are going to collaborate on next-generation iPod's that use more processing power to integrate content consumption with Internet search.
Maybe they'll release a free version of .Mac supported by Google Ads.
Hmmmm, I quite fancy a moving to a Mac OS and (if google pull their finger out) using a web-based office suite...
