Yeah, I lived in Springfield, Ohio for a few years. Yellow Springs is about 30 minutes south from there and, yes, I have never seen such a large concentration of pot heads... EVER... ANYWHERE ELSE. Working there was fun, though. lol

I can understand where he's coming from. Sometimes after working a while at something, you lose your original motivation or vision and just "burn out", and you only realize it after taking a step back. I enjoyed The Chappelle Show, but if it wasn't right for Dave, I have to respect that.

Oh, it was right for Dave for all the time previous. It was only after the $50 Mil contract, that he realized that white people were laughing FAR to much at his ubitquitous overuse of the 'N' word racial slur...To have a black man speak so derogatorily about his own people in the name of comedy was hilarious, and what he thought was making inroads for black comedy, actually set it back between 50 and 75 years...It took a few incidents like the white potheads walking up to him and his KIDS when they were in Ohio, saying "Hey, 'N'!" for him to finally wake up and realize what he was accomplishing...

For his kids sake, I'm glad he quit. Now if stupid Carlos Mencia, and the rest of the ilk that think yapping incessantly rude racial and sexual commentary is funny, would simply shut the hell up, some of the racial division in this country might have a change to fade into obscurity, rather than be held up as some form of behavior to be idolized and emulated...

Thank god everyone isn't as uptight as you; otherwise we'd have no standup comedy left.

Yikes. How many eons did Mel Brooks set the Jews back?

Dave may have lost his motivation but just watching him do his thing you realize that the man is a comedic genius. I hope he finds his niche elsewhere and can keep entertaining, it is clearly what he was born to do.
