Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Fat is an easy place to get to when you have a few bucks or more. It creeps up on you, starting with love handles that later turn into a spare tire and then a blimp. Have been there and back several times and now am at the spare-tire stage again. Pushups are not the same as before; the earth is getting heavier every day.

It is not just the few bucks but the food which is to blame. From the dawn of time the problem was limited to the few. Now in the last decade when the multinational corporations have taken control of the global food supply there is nothing but illness and obesity. We did not suddenly come to have extra incomes to fuel this epidemic in recent years.

In America the poor are the most afflicted. My theory is that the genetically engineered and scientifically created adulterations have bloated more than the multinational bottom lines. A corrupt political system has made us an easy target and victims of corporate feeding and the results don't look very good. Nature never does sway to the political winds.
