I do too. Can't see it having much of an impact on the iPod at all.

On last week's Gillmor Gang they were speculating that Microsoft would take the the Zune and bundle it with the X-Box 360. Of course, Microsoft loses money on every 360 they sell. Bundling the Zune would make them lose money even faster but then Microsoft is sitting on billions in equity.

The question is, can Microsoft put Sony and Apple out of business before the money runs out? I don't think so and I don't think Bill does either; that is one of the reasons he is leaving.

Well I highly doubt that this is one of the reasons why he is leaving the company. I think that all Microsoft is facing right now is a good challenge to find their own little niche in this relatively new internet-based world. So far, with the Zune and their Live web applications, they are only teasing the competition, and struggling to steal a little bit of their money. But, they'll eventually come out with something that will blow our minds... At least, I hope for them, because it is not by "copying" your competition's product that you win costumers over time.

Microsoft is just looking for more reasons to make enemies nowadays.
