I swear this little man is just shooting for an excuse to start a war...
"Will someone PLEASE pay attention to me? I'm a threat! Really, I am!"
It's no coincidence that the Bible mentions land turning to glass (effects of a nuke in a desert) and that a 2/3 of the Earth being scorched in the end of days.
Get your hard hat, folks. Better yet, get your souls in check.
Hmm I remember the 2/3 thing, but where did you find the reference to the land turning to glass?
Revelation 4:6 Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.
Revelation 15:2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God
That's problematic. The sand does fuse into a glass-like compound, but it's neither clean or crystalline. Rather, you get a thin crust of brittle and sharp sand.
Sand contains silicone dioxide, sure -- but "glass" isn't just heated sand, you have to strip out all kinds of impurities and do lots of other stuff to it to make glass.
Killfile:
I wasn't going into that much detail on how clean or pure the glass is from a nuclear blast but just to state from a biblical standpoint regarding things to come. I suppose an asteroid could do the same thing to neighboring deserts from the heat of its blast but there you are.
:)
I think that they just want to steal some of the attention that Iran has been receiving lately...
I dunno, maybe. The fact of the matter is that I don't trust either regime to be making nuclear threats or threatening to wipe countries off the map.
I think it's getting to the point where we have to set an example for countries that make these threats to not do so.
We get so worried about WMD. Yet how many people die each year of land mines, cheap weapons, roadside bombs, genocide by machette? My bet is more lives are maimed and destroyed than all the lives lost to Nukes. Hep C and HIV will kill more people worldwide than WMD. North Korea has been facing starvation yet it tries so hard to get into the big league with a NUK. Starvation is a killer a NUK is just an attention getter.
Both Iran and North Korea's nuclear moves are for show. These countries understand that this is a key moment to situate themselves among the worlds powers. Really they're just following our lead, using violence or rather the threat of violence for political gain.
They're not going to strike us. That's like slapping Mike Tyson. The slap might sting, you'll get knocked you out.
Invading Iraq was a mistake not only because it was based on false evidence, but also because it leaves us vulnerable. It paints as a war starting rather than a war ending country.
If I had a head that big, I certainly wouldn't go for the big-hair look.
He should try shaving his head.
He prefers the mushroom cloud look.
Is nuclear energy worth the threat of total annihilation? Maybe it is a technology worth losing. A world without the threat of being evaporated by some sadistic megalomaniac who is bent on your destruction, would be nice.
Wanted: someone to flee the planet with me. This is not a joke. You'll get paid after we find a new home. You must supply your own weapons. I have only done this once before.
Seriously, though, I'm scared.

How else do you expect North Korea to react? Same goes for Iran. We kindly ask them to either support our agendas or face consequences.
From their point of view, they could either submit ...
or they could get a deterrent. Maybe North Korea won't be next on the Axis of Evil list if they pose enough of a threat.
Remember, they're more afraid of us than we are of them!
