What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Espen is a nice name, if people really want to name their children after ESPN, why can't they just name them Espen and spell it that way.

Yeah, Espen looks a lot better than ESPN and actually sounds quite nice. Granted, I won't be naming my kid Espen or ESPN anytime soon.

"We were the talk of the hospital," Rusty Real said. "The nurses kept asking my wife if she was really going to let her husband name him ESPN. She said, 'Oh, yes.

Translation: "We were the talk of the hospital ya'll" Rusty Real said. "'Dem nurses there kept askin' mah wife if she was going to really let her husband name that baby ESPN. She said "well garsh, i do believe so"

Redneck bull@!$%#. I dind't even have to look at where this story was coming from to know..

          Just a rumor:
Rusty, ESPN and wife are looking to have a second child and are thinking of names "Shifter, PitStop, and SPEED NETWORK as the names. No word on if the networks will buy affiliation.

          ((CRAZINESS))

While the probability of them being "redneck" is certainly higher with them being in Mississippi, blatant stereotyping like this is simply ignorant.

Hey Josh wouldn't you also agree that proving yourself ignorant is also ignorant? Come on man.. you can't tell me to stop stereotyping in the same sentence as a VERY stereotypical thing bro.

I spent 20+ years living in Mississippi, I'm quite familiar with the stereotype. I wasn't saying there aren't "redneck" people. There are plenty of people in Mississippi who will tell you they are full-blooded "redneck". But the problem I have is that just because some dude like sports and happens to be from the south you immediately through out every stereotypical "redneck" comment you could think of. And that is ignorant.
