Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Although this proposed plan of action should get turned down (due to history repeating itself), the good news for people who do smoke is that it keeps being brought up. I'm 23, I am fairly confident in my lifetime that the United States will get with the program and realize that Alcohol and Cigarettes are more dangerous then Marijuana. Now, lets hope they can find a way to make money on it, because everyone knows its the only thing stopping them.

Not to mention the myriad of legal drugs that are presribed to Americans by the millions, and are much more capable of killing someone than alcohol and cigs, and marijuana, of course.

"Make no mistake, I don't think using marijuana is a wise choice for anyone," said the Rev. William C. Webb, a Baptist minister who joined dozens of other religious leaders in announcing their backing. But "if there has to be a market in marijuana, I'd rather it be regulated with sensible safeguards than run by violent gangs and dangerous drug dealers."

The Reverend has the right idea.

Not to mention having DEA agents swarming in and raiding these businesses (as happens in California).
