Dutch Rescue Succeeds in Saving Horses
Rescue workers on horseback lead a herd of horses through flooded fields from a small knoll in Marrum, northern Netherlands, Friday, Nov. 3, 2006. Rescue workers saved a herd of around 100 horses that have been stranded on a tiny knoll since a fierce storm threatened to submerge them three days ago, in an incident that has transfixed the nation. I'm glad they saved the horses! I have two horses myself, and they are such beautiful animals.
Dude, I don't wanna sound like a queer or nothing, but horses kick ass!
A little Orgasmo for ya.
My mother runs a horse rescue for miniature horses; their whole community was following this each day - they'll be happy to know how well it turned out.
Awesome photo, it just kinda makes you want to be there, you know? Hats off to the four women on horseback, and all the other workers who rescued those horses. Too bad some of the horses were lost.
Are these horses wild or tamed? I'm thinking wild, but don't know enough about things equestrian to be sure.
Good thing those horses weren't black New Orlenians. They would have never been saved.
I saw the footage. It made me cry... I have a horse and would do anything to save him if needed. I am just wondering what breed they were. I noticed they are gaited but wonder what the breed is.
