Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

You know there is no way around the fact that a person as guilty as Saddam should be sentenced to death. It reminds me though how trials run in America, by Americans can let murderers go free when there is fear of a massive backlash. I don't want to mention specific cases, ::cough::OJ::cough::, but yeah.. It seams to me that Saddam's sentence will spark bad things for our troops and maybe even problems close to home. I can't think of a less worthy martyr then that sad damn Saddam.

Amnesty International questioned the fairness of the trial, and international legal experts said Saddam should be kept alive long enough to answer for other atrocities.

"The longer we can keep Saddam alive, the longer the tribunal can have to explore some of the other crimes involving hundreds of thousands of Iraqis," said Sonya Sceats, an international law expert at the Chatham House foreign affairs think tank in London.

Why rush? He has only been found guilty of the least of crimes he has been charged with - I think it would be good to have it all out so everyone involved is accountable.

There are better ways to punish him than death, death is an easy way out.
