Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

"The idea is preposterous," he said, the idea "that somehow we've been scheming and plotting with the Iraqis."

Because we all know that politicians never plot or scheme!

yeah that is absolutely insane.. kinda of like
when the iraq leader suggested he was going to the UN to ask them to ask the americans to leave and then a few days later "we must stay the course"
WHen bush sets up benchmarks much like the dems suggested, the iraq leader said noone puts a timetable on iraq and then a couple days later, says the benchmarks are a good idea.
saddams forgone verdict was supposed to abe a month ago, but after a few days was delayed to the most popular day to bring crap out before the elections. the sunday before elections when everyone is home and you can play the crap all day long.
You think the pressure is high in the US with-if you vote dem you will die crap, imagine how it is over there.

It's Amazing the power he has. To time a Mass execution verdict to coincide with the election.

i don't put it past them at all.

and if they indeed scheme to manipulate the release of the verdict it only serves to highlight their incompetence. if you didn't already know the verdict was going to be guilty with a death sentence, well face it, you've got to be an idiot.

using this to a political advantage has got to be reserved for desperate times when there is just nothing else out there. it makes grasping for straws a noble gesture.

either these guys are just plain out of gas, of they have some really big something (true or not, it does not matter) that will be released tomorrow.

i bet on the latter as the republican'ts are fighting for their political lives, and i'm sure they will resort to some sort of nixonian "dirty tricks" before its all said and done.
