I think you spelled "who cares" wrong... :-)
If you don't care... why click? <@:)
Because it's Faith Hill... ;-)
Almost a Zoolander moment...
She would never disrespect a fellow musician by being angry like that. All she was trying to do was make an attention-seeking joke during a fellow musicians moment of glory.
Sure a joke would have been followed by a smile. She pitched her fit and walked away from the camera.
I would rather see her come out and just admit that she didn't think Underwood should have won.
I think the only joke here is Faith Hill referring to an American Idol winner as a "fellow musician."
C'mon, it was only a massage.
Jokes have a punchline; this had spin control PR.
In the slow-motion version of the video (on Google video), it seems that she expected to win. She began to assume a victory pose, and then the words sank in. She was clearly very angry.
Why would she think she had won?
If the millions of viewers sitting on their couches couldn't immediately see that it was a joke, then it likely wasn't a joke. Had it been some little stunt, she should've planned it better, because every radio station in Illinois (and I'm sure many others) are talking about her fit last night.
I'm a country fan, and have been since very young, and I wouldn't have thought it of many entertainers to pull that sort of thing - but it sure as hell looked real to me.
This was about as funny as John Kerry's "botched joke".
I just read an announcement by CMA stating that Faith was just joking. Do they think we are stupid? Or that we fell off the turnip wagon? We have eyes of our own! Faith was mad, furious, jealous, and showing her horns! Face it, Faith, you're not the only person who can sing! You need to apologize and tell the truth instead of trying to "pretend" you were just kidding! Trouble is "you were caught"....you weren't kidding at all and anyone who has any sense knows that you weren't! You were green with envy cause you always want to be first......you don't look so pretty when you're mad, Faith! Glad we got to see you that way. We all knew you weren't so perfect.....we're glad you proved it to us and to the world! Way to go, Faith! You done good! Congratulations, Carrie! You couldn't have taken the award from a more deserving person.
Trisha Yearwood, is that you?
