If it weren't for dark age thinking religious morons, this would be America pushing the envelope.
I've said it once and I'll say it again, I HATE what religion does to people. I suppose in the sixties we could of relied on the private sector to put an an American on the moon, but we didn't, we came together as a country with the help of leaders who were brave enough to allow humanity to flourish. Not anymore.
