Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I'll get one when they're $99 or less. I refuse to pay more for a novelty console.

Novelty? It's no more novelty than the PS3 or Xbox 360. Their novelty is HD resolutions, Wii's is a new control scheme. Why not pay more for the system with real innovation, instead of a console that's more of the same, only prettier?

I feel that each console has some level of innovation but that the PS3 is slightly behind. If you were to broadly categorize the new consoles, you could place Wii in the category of 'Major changes in Gameplay' and place the 360 and the PS3 in the category of 'Everything from before, but better'. That is, the 360 and PS3 deliver top-of-the-line graphics etc. while Wii's utility comes from the new controller.

However, since the 360 has been out for a long time now, the PS3's utility to the end-user is pretty dampened. A weak game-lineup at launch and unavailability is undermining the PS3 further. The Wii doesn't have this problem since it is not competing with the 360 as directly as the PS3 is.

If you were to pick out one console for lack of innovation, it would have to be the PS3 since it is not delivering a feature-set much different from the 360, but has come into market much later and is costlier.
