Now only if the USA could be so objective.
Yeah, it's sad when we're years behind Canada and France as far as civil right go - but I suppose we have always been quite a bit behind in that area.
I'm sure the vast majority of Americans support equal rights; it's just that the far-Right nutcases vote more consistantly.
You can add South Africa, Spain, the Netherlands (I think), and Massachusetts, by the way.
Yes, I am so happy we have put that issue behind us! Majority of Canadians feel that equal rights are for all! It makes me proud to be Canadian.
YAY!! I love my country. Beer and butter-tarts for all!!

Whoo! Not that I was worried, but it's nice to have an extra reminder why I'm immigrating just as I'm on the verge of starting the process. Thank goodness for rational, progressive, equality-loving nations.
Good news for all of us! :)
Yippee for progressive action and not just thought!
Thanks Canada!!!

Still, I'm saddened by the idea. I'll miss you, Geddy Lee.
I find it amusing that this news came out on the VERY SAME DAY that some of the right-wing US commentators were all over Mary Cheney about her pregnancy.
The fact is, in 20 years every state will haver gay marriage and the asses who were against it will look like George Wallace standing in front of the schoolhouse to keep the black kids out.
