This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Bring back Arrested Development

Seriously. Fox needs to look at it this way...as long as they have Arrested Development on the air, they'll win emmys which reflects well on their station. So, if you're not getting the huge amount of viewers, look at it as an investment in some emmys. Basically, I just want that show back.

Finally, people from there can stop trying to tell me they live "in the O.C." By now, I just snap at them, "It's friggin' Orange County. Quit trying to church it up."

By 2011 it will only be a ridiculous memory.

It actually is not a horrible show, and while last year was not outstanding, this year it did have a bit of a renaissance. The writing is actually fairly good, and is easily on par with such well liked shows as CSI:Whatever and Grey's Anatomy. I know I will take a lot of heat for speaking up for the OC, but there are a LOT worse shows still on television.

I give Fox a lot of credit for how long they kept Arrested Development around. Make no mistake, as far as ratings were concerned, AD was never popular. It was one of the funniest shows of all time, and loved by a devoted few, but it never gained mass appeal. So, to say they "usually cancel popular shows" doesn't really fit. Most networks would have canned AD much sooner. We were very lucky to have the show for 3 seasons, despite lower ratings and viewership in each year (6 million in season 1, 4 million in season 2, and lower for season 3...can't find definitive numbers for 3.)

        You're probably right ;)

But, as a fan of AD, I've been in far too many conversations where people were bashing Fox for being "clueless" when they finally cancelled AD. I believe Fox was the only network that would have kept it around for 3 seasons.

Yeah, I wasn't too mad at Fox when they finally canceled it. There were rumors of cancellation after season 1 even. I heard that some of that cast was mad that Fox kept moving the show around and didn't properly market it, but...who knows. Nothing's going to bring it back...(sobs)

The picture and caption above are inaccurate for this season. Mushy Fartone is no longer on the show. She died in the worst season finale for any series ever.

So glad it's going off the air. I checked in on it about four times over its life, saw it as just another trashy show exploiting teenagers (or those who "act as") to convey producers' and writers' own low opinion of them. Thankfully, it was not a true depiction of "most", but of the few PRESENTED as the most, a Hollywood ploy for years.

The finale "will deliver real closure to the series, to the story we began telling four years ago."

Really? I thought killing off Marissa was supposed to be closure. These guys were fools to believe they could go on making this show without Mischa Barton, who provided both the show's tension and its relief. This year's season was a flop from the first episode. Good riddance.
