It's a good thing that the government can apparently legislate history.
It's also a good thing the Texas legislature is dealing with important issues.
"We are even the birthplace of George Bush, who wants people to think he's from Texas. So yes, the hamburger is as much a New Haven original as President Bush," DeStefano said. "Get over it, Texas."
Oooooh, don't mess with Texas, dude.
You know, "Don't Mess With Texas" is really just an anti-littering campaign, right?
And as for W., well, as a real native Texan I take great pride in pointing out to folks that he's not really from Texas after all. So Connecticut can have him as far as I'm concerned. In fact, please feel free to take him as soon as you can.
And I'm perfectly happy to let the Louis' Lunch dynasty continue to believe that they invented the burger. The rest of us can enjoy the truth :)
You know, I'm from New York. But I happen to have taken a shine to Texans while living in Louisiana. Don't ruin it for me, please. Because our current president has already made it hard for me to defend my love of the Lone Star State with so many folks.
As for Connecticut... Don't get me started.
And you know, I'm not trying to ruin it for you. I'm trying to defend my home state from the same damned W. that you are.
Oh, and I'm right fond of New York, too. I married one of y'all :)
Peace, my brother. Or sister. Silly internet.
Sister. I'd be a sister. Peace offering gladly accepted. :)
And, in a semi-related train of thought, I swear I should write something about the fact that everybody assumes "JeezyChreezy" is a man on here. Is it the implied Christ factor? Because that's sort of a red herring. It's just an Eddie Izzard-ism.
/end PSA
It's a tough one, Jeezy. I actually didn't assume either way - I'm just used to saying "peace, my brother" but it occurred to me that you might, in fact, be a woman since I had no way of knowing. And since I was in the process of peace-ing, I certianly didn't want to get your gender wrong, too :)
Here's an interesting question... Have you found that men assume you're a man and that women assume you're a woman, or is it that everyone assumes "man" regardless? That is, are people really taking some kind of cue from the name or is it neutral enough that folks impart their own gender to you, assuming that a rational person on the internet must but of their gender?
Why yes, I was complimenting you :)
