I remember reading that the "Motor City Madman" evaded the Vietnam era draft by playing crazy. Admittedly a teen magazine, it said that he wore the same clothes for weeks, not showering and urinating and defecating in his clothes before meeting with the draft board. They refused to take him. Amazing if it is true, and sadly representative that so many "hawks" do not have the courage to risk life and limb to serve but still love to play soldier with other people's lives.

Funny how supposedly the Nuge dodged the draft. When the Iraq war started he went over and was embedded with a helicopter crew so he could fire off a 50 caliber machine gun from the side of said helicopter....
