— Some interesting developments on the Scrubs front.  It appears that the show will be coming back next year.  This isn't for sure, but creator Bill Lawrence is confident that NBC will pick the show up for a seventh season.  The ratings have never been spectacular for Scrubs, but the show has always persevered, if sometimes in unusual fashions.  The past two years, Scrubs hasn't debuted until late in the season.  In season 5, for instance, they had the rare pleasure of airing new episodes back to back for most of the season.  Scrubs was Scrubs' lead-in.

The biggest news to come out this week, however, is the contract status of Zach Braff, the star of Scubs.  Braff plays JD, and plays him quite well, but it has been up in the air whether or not he would come back for another season.  Well, now we don't have wonder anymore.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, Braff has signed a contract to return to Scrubs next season for a reported $350,000 per episode.  That's an insane amount of money. If the seventh season of Scrubs goes the normal 22 episodes, Braff will make about $7.7 million next year.  I'd say that's worth sticking around for another year.  This payday puts him on par with the top male sitcom earner Charlie Sheen, who currently makes $350,000 per episode.  Overall, this is just a bunch of great news for Scrubs fans who thought that this would be the show's final year.
