Priests to Purify Site After Bush Visit

advertisement

GAUNTLET THROWN: President Bush called for the top 15 greenhouse gas producing nations, including the U.S., to set a goal for reducing the pollution by the end of 2008.

HOT TOPIC: The announcement could deflect criticism during next week's summit of leading industrialized nations, where global warming is sure to be discussed.

CLEARING THE AIR: The countries would begin talks this fall, but each would be able to develop its own strategy.

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Oh man, that's pretty rough. I'm reminded of Chaves' talk at the U.N. several months ago where he claimed that he could smell the sulfur from the "Devil's visit" the day before, then proceeds to faithfully make the sign of the cross.

I hear ya, e.c.... the only problem is - if they were to exorcise all of the evil spirits from inside the belt line, there wouldn't be many pols left...

Hetep and Respect e.c., Purification after evil passes seem a natural thing to do. Yes we could use them over here.

Betcha this trip is really just an excuse to visit his new 100,000 acre ranch in Paraguay.

Wow - that brings up a question of security... Will US taxpayers have to pay for his Secret Service detail when W goes to vacation on foreign soil after his term expires? I know that ex-presidents get a detail for life, but how would that armed detatchment play out in a soverign nation? What if he decided to take up residence there, for part of each year? Would he have to seek a special status with the government of Paraguay, to keep up a paramilitary presence?

One thing is for sure; whatever and however he decides to do this, it's gonna cost We The People a lot of tax money. (Maybe he can offset the cost by giving another tax break to the ultra-wealthy?)

This is really funny! Wow, surely now he will realize what people think of him! To have to have a place purified after your visit? I don't blame them at all; the next President should think to do the same thing after they move in. We don't want Bush's spirit lingering there either!

Really! I mean, I know some people who haven't liked me, but I don't think I've ever caused people to seek divine intervention to cleanse my passing!!
