Tough Problem: High Textbook Costs

I believe that this is yet another case where the industry is more-than-capable of regulating itself, given enough pressure from those who recommend the books (professors, etc.). The consumer (students, etc.) is captive—they are required to have these texts.
Government involvement is not needed.

LOL when was the last time you went to college?
you pretty much have 4-5 years to influence the nonsense.
professors will change the questions only in the back of text books to force new students t buy new copies rather than buy a used copy.
After about the second year you should realize the book requirements for a class are often fiction and it is best to sit in on the class for at least a few days to see what books he will actually use.
(i got so sick of buying books the professors never had us crack)
I am not saying government intervention but we definitely need to discuss the problems.
Because really most parrents are more concerned about tuition and all the fees going up faster than inflation, year after year, they dont have time to complain about the books as well.
