That's certainly quite helpful - not sure if I like the 180 day moratorium, but it's still better than nothing. Does this apply to all countries, or just the US, I wonder?
Certainly seems to be a consumer friendly feature.
This is especially nice since artists tend to release a song or two ahead of the album as a single, and you can now purchase that ahead of time and the rest of the album later.
I'm not sure that this is the case, though.
If a single exists as it's own "entity" on the iTunes store (a two song album, in essence) and then a song from the single subsequently appears on the full album when it is released -- do you have evidence that it counts towards the full album?
If yes -- that's a great deal, and is the instance in which I'd get the most use out of the "complete my album feature" -- but I'm not so sure that it works that way.
Everything I read refers to buying a single song off a full album and then later deciding that you want the full album.
I'm just guessing that the metadata for a song off a single is probably different than the metadata for the same song off an album.
You know that's a good point. I didn't think of it that way. You're probably right.
Not only that but there are many artists who release a "singles" version of a track but the version on the album is an extended "album" version. Won't these have different meta data since they are essentially different tracks?
Sweet. Is there going to be a "Complete My Season" for TV as well? That would be cool.

Yeah, not too thrilled with that little rule. But yes, better than nothing.
