Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Let me guess...Global warming caused this?

We may get snow here tonight in Missouri. This global warming is getting out of hand. We all have to do something.

I have a bold idea.

Everyone stop exhaling. Six billion people not exhaling CO2 at the same time, for like two to five minutes should give all the plantlife on Earth a chance to get rid of excess CO2 in about a week or two.

I figure if everyone does this, alternating not breathing for five minutes with, say, 10 minutes of breathing, we should be able to reverse this things.

As a matter of fact, I am selling carbon credits on this now. For a small fee, I will not breathe for your five minutes, allowing you to breathe freely for those minutes and continue to rant on the Kyoto treaty and big business rampent destruction of the planet. I'm selling them for only $2,500 a pop.

One exception, though, is Vice President Al Gore. He must be made to stop breathing for his allotted time. He spills more hot air into the environment than the average person.
