Will Prison Break's "new direction" for season three ruin it?

— Last year at this time, fans wondered how Prison Break could continue once the brothers had successfully broken out of  It was odd that this season of Prison Break took place entirely without, well, a prison break, but they certainly carried it off, and well, winning the coveted attention of the 18-to-34 demographic for their timeslot.

But now that Michael and three others are in the "lawless" Sona Penitentiary, I guess they're back to a prison break, only with the brothers' positions reversed. Question is, can they do it all over again without just repeating history?
