Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

what's considered the ideal look in Hollywood is completely different than anywhere else in the world

That's the point and that's why call them movie stars.

You might as well say, that men in the NFL are completely different than men anywhere else in the world, well of course they are.

I think it's great that she is telling the world that the Hollywood ideal is just that, an ideal. Most people know that the Hollywood ideal is unattainable, but it is reassuring for a Hollywood star to say that it's ok not to look like a stick figure. I think more stars should stop worrying about what they look like and how thin they are, and start realizing that they are role models, and that people look up to them. If these people want to be in the spotlight so badly, then they should try to be more responsible.

statements like these, coming from successful and beautiful Hollywood actresses, are encouraging to hear. It seems as if that even though we see more and more skinnier than ever starlets in the media, there is also a wave of a more realistic approach to beauty and aging coming from many of them. Women like Kate Beckinsdale and Kate Winslet, are doing wonders for changing the general consensus that beauty must look unhealthy.
