Nicole Matisse, of Bloomfield Hills, is to officially graduate in the summer with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Maybe if she pursued a real degree... ;-)

And now she's going to law school at Wayne State! What's wrong with her?

But does she actually KNOW the material? Or is she just good at studying and taking tests?

There's some argument against just absorbing and regurgitating knowledge in my mind... Actually broadening your experience, and THINKING about what you've learned and how to apply it to the "real world."

Seriously, very few 19 year olds have the maturity to really understand life yet. I still think that high school graduates should have to do community service, or military service, for a couple years so they can understand the world a little better before they start making life-long decisions about careers. I still wish I would have waited myself, and maybe I would have made some better decisions.

I agree completely. The time one takes in college is now more of a focus then what one actually learns in college. Very sad.
