Scary brain stuff, eh? This biofeedback stuff with the tech angle has been going on for probably 50 years now and a lot of it is pretty cool. You can learn to control, to varying degrees, your blood pressure and heart rate, in effect choosing whether to be stimulated or relaxed, by focusing your mental state. There are some existing devices that connect a galvanic skin response -- GSR -- sensor to a computer to manipulate images on the screen. Basic biofeedback devices are available on the net for varying prices, saying $125 up. I've played with some basic stuff and found that the results -- lower BP, heart rate, focus -- seem to be cumulative. Space may be the final frontier, but we're early on in exploring the mind, too. I kinda hope these guys at NeuroSky go beyond the games, which is where they'll likely make the $$$, into mind development tools for public markets.

Adding biofeedback to "Tiger Woods PGA Tour," for instance, could mean that only those players who muster Zen-like concentration could nail a put

Alright, I just wanted to ask if anyone else sees the mistake in this sentence.

      Here's a clue...golfers "putt" not "put"

I checked the AP Style Book and there are no rules involving "putt" in the golf section. However, according to Websters golfers do in fact PUTT.

I called the San Jose office and left a voice mail to Rachel Konrad earlier this morning. I guess you just can't solve all the problems.
