I shared that same thought, Rob. I mean, talk about making a farce of yourself!

I think I would, its too funny not to. I'm sure it sucks that he had valuables stolen, but hopefully most of it was covered by insurance -- and once it's happened all you really can do is look back on it and laugh.

They weren't robbers - they were militant physical fitness activists. The Establishment Media won't tell you this, but all they really stole was junk food, his television, and a comfy couch. Also, they were kind enough to finish off his Chivas Regal and other booze, just to remove the temptation.

This is why I don't own exercise equipment.

        It's just too risky.

You might still want to own some equipment, because if these guys glued a 'viner to their laptop it could be weeks before anyone discovered the crime.

Did anyone else see the picture on this article and think Ray Stevens had just been robbed?

Shame on you all for voting this to the top of 'Top News'. Although the plight this man had to endure (as well as his photo) is quite humorous.

THis was the automatic choice by the AP Wire. Once it showed up, it was top news... Who could resist voting for that picture?

South Africa has one of the highest crime rates in the world, with about 50 people being slain everyday. The government is desperate to counter the country's violent image, especially in the run up to the soccer World Cup it will host in 2010.

"We here at AP are waiting to hear a reaction from the South African government about the importance of hosting the World Cup until then we will emphasize the crime element for the next few years with even more graphic photos of the slain and the glued."
