Seriously, I hope she goes to jail. I am not somebody that hates Paris just becuase she is Paris. But her utter disrespect for the law and contempt of our legal process is just embarssing. I am all for forgiveness. I am all for bad decisions rectified. But sheesh. She didn't do what the court told her to do (sign up for a class), she did do what the court told her not to do (drive more), throw her butt in jail - any other American would be thrown in.
Oh come on.. isn't their a clause somewhere for marginally attractive hotel heiresses with their own series of sex tapes? After all, she was only being fashionably late.
Seriously, I hope she goes to jail.
I just want to state for the record, and so I don't look nuts, that I was saying this before they updated the article and a sentence had not be released. It looks like I got my wish ;-)
Kathy Hilton responded: "What do you think? This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money with all this nonsense. This is a joke."
Uhhh, no Mrs. Hilton, driving while drunk is what is nonsense. Had she killed somebody would it really be a waste of taxpayer money. Sheesh.
Call me crazy but if I were trying to avoid going to jail, I would make damn sure I wasn't late to my own hearing (even if I had skip the orange mocha frappucino).

Or sign up for the classes required. Or make sure that I wasn't driving a car with a suspended license.
This was Dubya 30 years ago.
She'll be president some day if she finds Jesus.

Great, leave it to the Newsvine crowd to bring Dubya into something that has nothing to do with him. I think your comment is a little unfair.

To George, or Paris?
Sectim,
Personally, I think Dubya gets what he deserves. But that's my opinion.
Great, leave it to the Newsvine...
the door swings both ways, I've seen some unwarranted and outlandish vomit spew from mouths of conservatives and liberals on articles.
If you scour newsvine you'll see stuff like "that's what I'd expect from a liberal" or "typical liberal response."
I'll scour the conservatives when I see it as well. What I am saying is that this post has absolutely nothing to do with Dubya, and frankly, it is in poor taste to bring it up. Just because "other people" do it on the other side, doesn't make it right.

Not so much about Dubya as our society's willingness to overlook idiocy when it comes to spoiled rich kids.
-ok, I see now how that's a knock on Dubya.
your point is well taken.
Stupidity can't possibly be an actual legal plea, can it?
She said that when an officer who stopped her in January made her sign a document stating her license was suspended, she thought he was mistaken and did not actually look at the document.
Or was it drunkeness?
"I think she's singled out because of who she is," Weitzman said.
What do you mean, now? Someone who violated probation? I didn't know that breaking the law was conditional on who you are.
If she is indeed being singled out for who she is, few would be a better contemporary 'role model' to make an example of.
When the judge ruled, Kathy Hilton then blurted out: "May I have your autograph?"
What is wrong with these people?
Who's kidding who? This will make the most awesome reality TV series ever, a cross between the Simple Life and the 'Angels in Chains' episode of Charlie's Angels where all three -- count 'em, three -- angels went undercover in a women's prison...
I'm not one for tabloids, but this is hilarious.
Ordinarily I would ostracize the media for making a story here where ordinarily it does not deserve the ink... but you know what?
@!$%# it - she deserves every bit of it and I'm glad.
It's not like she's going to be thrown in some ill mannered prison system. She'll probably have the same dainty room that Martha Stewart had and get room service delivered to her. I have a feeling that she won't have to suffer too much.
But hey, maybe she'll do another video with snoopity dawg. I can see it now "Playa Princess in da jayle"
The judge's ruling did not allow any work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail. Nor could Hilton pay to serve time in a jail of her choice, as some are allowed.
I think the judge got it right. Treat her like everyone else, not like the spoiled brat her parent raised. He may have done her the greatest favor of her life, if she has any ability left to take this to heart.
you know Susan, I've really got to start reading these here articles with a little more attention to detail.
I would have known that but I have a short atten...
Paris in jail. That's hot.
hahahahaha. I was trying to think of a way to use "that's hot"
thanks for the laugh!
Lauhal, you win the award for most yuks on this thread, with fewest words.
Good one...a veritable Hollywood Boulevard haiku.
