— Last night was apparently the "most chaotic" episode of Dancing with the Stars ever, between the judges' squabbling and the computer malfunction. Ian says that no matter what the judges thought, it was his most fun night ever.
Man, do they ever recap for a long time. Or maybe it just seems that way.
For the encore dance, the judges choose, unsurprisingly, Apolo & Julianne's paso doble. "Will they make it to the semi-finals?" Well, that would be a shock if they didn't. I think it'd take another computer error, actually.
Nelly Furtado sings, and Tony and Elena dance. Nelly Furtado is from Vancouver Island. I'm moving to Vancouver Island this summer. I'm sure you needed to know that.
Billy Ray says he's not upset at all about the Dancing with the Stars judges' comments anymore, and that it's "a celebration." Also he says something about how he's "not supposed to be here now." I guess he's thought he was leaving next for a while now.
Some of last night's audience say the judges were too harsh, but some think they were fair. One says there's a possibility that Billy Ray could stay in until next week, but I don't know what they're smoking, because there's not a chance. Nobody at all thinks Apolo or Laila will be in the bottom two.
So who is? Billy Ray & Karina, of course. Billy Ray gasps in mock surprise, which is actually kind of funny.
Maks and his brother Val perform a "dance-off" with Maks' brother Val, Karina, and Valeriya Kozharinova, who is, I think, Val's regular dance partner.
Backstage, Ian tackles and mock-strangles Apolo as he tries to say that anyone could be in the bottom two with Billy Ray. Ian says they're lucky to be there on Dancing with the Stars at all; Laila seems confident & clearly just wants to win.
Nelly Furtado sings "All Good Things" as Cheryl & Louie dance. It seems like they disappear for half the song, which I find a bit confusing. But then they come back and dance more.
Dance Along at Home: Jimmy Kimmel and Guillermo don't know how to waltz, so Guillermo prays to the Dancing Fairy, who is a miniature Master P. He "teaches" them to "waltz" until Guillermo squashes him.
Apolo says they're a family; Billy Ray says he's fallen in love eight times since he's been there. They all say elimination is very emotional. Laila says that it's lonely at the top, but that's where she wants to be. Joey says "it's on, Donkey Kong!"
And, to nobody's shock, Billy Ray is going home. Tom Bergeron points out that Billy ray said all he wanted was an eight…and this is week eight. They present us with a really, really long retrospective of Billy Ray's time on the show. There's a lot of hugging back in the present, and that's that.
Next week brings us to the semi-finals of Dancing with the Stars. I have no idea who's going home next week, except that I think it's either Joey or Ian. It all depends on next week's performances, in my opinion. But what about you? Who do you think has a chance at making it? Comment below to let us know!
