If it wasn't for the mendacity and the control-freakishness I'd quite like the bloke.

I have mixed feelings for Tony Blair. He did a lot of good for Britain, but much of it is overshadowed by the shameful way he conducted himself with regards to the United States. I hope history views him kindly.

Yeah, I'm guessing that Bush will bear the brunt of history's criticism on the Iraq war. I think Blair just wanted to be friends with the bully.
Apart from that, he did quite a good job, it would seem.

    That's a damn shame.

He's made a lot of mistakes, but hell, what world leader hasn't? All things considered, he was a damn sight better than any other British leader of my lifetime (looking at you, Maggie).

    Good luck over there.

He is the best leader that this country has ever seen!

"I may have been wrong, but that's your call. But believe one thing if nothing else. I did what I thought was right for our country."

So that's what it's like to have an influential "leader" admit to the possibility that he made the wrong choice.
