Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

"The management of XM Radio decided to suspend Opie and Anthony to make clear that our on-air talent must take seriously the responsibility that creative freedom requires of them."

Argh, my irony meter spiked into the red when I read this line.

It's insane to me, that this could happen to O&A on XM of all places. Someone must have it in for them inside the company for this to be taken so far. If I had an XM subscription I would consider suspending it. Fortunately I hear the show via alternate means. This is going to cost XM allot of money in the long run, and was probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen them do.

I don't know that free speech is "dead" yet, but I just saw some guy in a hood walk by...

XM is now no better than free FM radio. My sub has been cancelled because of the stupidity enacted by XM. I can listen to the music XM plays anywhere, O&A is what I am paying for. From what I've seen the pests are out in full force. Let's go boys!!! XM F***ed up.

What XM has done is obscene. For them to say that Opie & Anthony have creative freedom, yet punish them for something they broadcasted (and they didn't even say it!) is a such a strange paradox that frankly, I think my head is going to explode.
