This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

In order to pull off the bowler hat look, one must be weened by a wet nurse of proper servitude and pedigree and be a product of one of a handful of public schools where the trauma of systematic peer torture is so entirely repressed that one's awareness of the dorkiness and "Kubrikesqueness" of the bowler hat becomes entirely irrelevent.

Not just that... he creates a military liability because his company will get extra attention (from the public and the enemy) and that could compromise operations. On top of that, If the insurgents kidnap him (which is going to be the predominant objective of anyone attempting to get at him) Then you will have a serious political problem.

They just need to prevent him from being recognized, so they could just give him an alias and one of those Groucho Specs and Moustache kits... problem solved.

Besides, he's in a tank, he should be pretty well off unless he decides to stop and hand out autographs. Not to mention, if he dies in battle, they could spin it like he was Braveheart and invigorate the war effort.

Seriously, no one really believed he was going to get anywhere near Iraq. He's just too much of a liability. It's nothing against him personally -- he didn't choose to be born into the royal family.

Most of the ones from history! This guy's great great great grandfather would turn over in his grave if he knew what a coward this guy is. Even if he isn't King, as the male heir to the throne he should go into battle!

Regardless of his ego this is the right decision. Every platoon with a ginger haired officer would be in danger. This has nothing to do with saving his life (which, let's be honest, is not a high priority since he is third in line to the throne) this has to do with saving the lives of those around him. He is a liability and I am thrilled he isn't going. That said if the press had left this story alone instead of essentially stating exactly when and where he will be he might of gotten to serve.

It is a joke. every soldier knows that he is responsible for those around him and they for him/her.
Keeping a royal away from the fighting is sending out further confirmation that the royals are a joke.

No matter what spin the Buckingham or the army put on this, the clear question is:

WHATS THE POINT OF HIM SIGNING UP AND TRAINING TO BE IN THE ARMY, IF THE ARMY THEN WON'T LET HIM FIGHT?

When that happens to others, we just call them A LAME DUCK!

IF YOU CANNOT FIGHT, YOU HAVE NO PLACE BEING IN THE ARMY. IT'S CALLED BEING A COWARD. NO MATTER WHAT SPIN IS PUT ON IT.

No, I don't think that's it. I don't think he's a coward at all -- he wants to go fight. The higher-in-commands have decided wisely that he would be a threat to the soldiers around him were he to go into active front-line duty. There are probably still posts he can take without being in such imminent danger of being captured.

They're not trying to spin this. They're being pretty straightforward about why they're not going to let him up front where he'd be a bright shining target for the enemy, who would have no problem with killing the rest of his unit to get him.

Because there are enough extremists living in the UK now that they could find out even @ what time Harry brushes his teeth before leaving, this is not about the Prince, this is about the safety of the British troops.

Harry is NOT a coward - I did not mean it that way - HIS ARMY IS.

Like it or not - the army has created a lame duck. He might as well be sitting on the front of a Rolls Royce for all the good he will do fighting as a soldier.

Yet again, one rule for one and one rule for another. Stick your heads in the sand, call or spin it what you will, the world is seeing double standards here amd once more the Royal family of England has become a joke again. Well done.

Again, it's not a matter of choice. The double standard isn't just to keep him safe, it's to keep the rest of the army safer. Safer than they would be if they had a royal in their ranks, at least.

And... if I wasn't such a nice guy... I'd suggest that your comments could be taken as trolling. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

If he was sent over, does anyone think for one second that he would be up at the frontline? Come on, nobody is that stupid!

The royal cowards would insist that he was so far back from the front line that he might as well be lying on a beach back in Blackpool.

Its ok for others to fight and die but O' no, not a royal child. SELECTIVE COWARDICE!

How is he, specifically, a coward when he wants to go but the army won't let him? It's not spin to say he's not a coward. It's having the proper definition of the word 'coward' and actually looking at the f-a-c-t-s.
